..And sailing into the sunset as you prepare for a gourmet dinner under the tropical stars
Sailing the Whitsundays is one of the top ten activities in Australia and now you can do it in style of a luxury 12m catamaran.
Specialist tour designer, Intentionally Different Travel, has joined with acclaimed yachtsman, Andrew Pearson, in the 2021 launch of a special, indulgent, six-day Whitsunday sail program, utilising a French designed and built Nautitech 40-foot (12 metre) catamaran.
Features of the new program – which is designed for up to six friends for their exclusive use - include Andrew Pearson as the permanent skipper on all sailings, together with many rare inclusions such as breakfasts, fuel, marine park fees and airport transfers amongst others.
The vessel, a Nautitech 40, has three generous cabins, full size, ship-style bathrooms, plentiful space inside and on deck for dining and relaxation, complete kitchen and superior navigation and safety equipment. (Refer www.nautitechcatamarans.com/en/40-open.html for details of the vessel).
The Whitsundays Marine Park is well-known for coral and fish viewing, snorkelling, paddleboarding, tropical island walks and pearly-white sandy beaches. Water sports equipment is provided on the catamaran. Skipper, Andrew Pearson, who has sailed many Whitsunday sailing regattas, knows the hidden bays and beaches which he will share with guests.
Breakfasts are included and guests can either prepare their own lunches and dinners or complete a truly stylish vacation by including the ‘Book the Chef’ option whereby an internationally trained chef will prepare all meals, morning and afternoon teas, and even wash the dishes, giving guests a true relaxed vacation.
Provisioning is arranged and tailored to the requirements of each guest to develop suitable menus given dietary and meal preferences.
The six-day program start with airport to boat transfers and includes hire of vessel, skipper, breakfasts, fuel, port fees, water toys, marine park fees and taxes.
The six-day (five night) program costs $2997 per guest, based on six guests sharing the vessel as a group, with incremental increases for fewer guests. With just three double cabins, this spacious yacht is excellent for families or a group of friends giving guests direct input into important aspects such as menus and sailing program. The additional cost of a private chef is $521 per person, based on six guests.
