CroisiEurope resumes its Continental cruising program
By John Newton
After more than a year since the Covid -19 outbreak, Europe’s largest river cruise operator – CroisiEurope – will re-start its river and ocean sailings later this month. Its French canal cruises will resume next month.
European river cruising will resume from 14 June on The Douro, followed by the Gironde and The Seine (both 3 June), The Rhine (2 July), The Rhone (3 July) The Elbe, Oder, Havel and the Baltic (8 July), The Danube (also 8 July), The Guadalquivir (19 August) and The Po (25 August).
French canal cruises will re-start from 2 July on the waterways of the Loire, Provence, Marne, Marne to the Rhine, Doubs Valley, Rhone to Rhine and Bourgogne.
Sea cruises planned for this year are Croatia (10 June) and Corsica (4 July).
CroisiEurope says that from 31 August, all its cruises qualify for its “relaxed booking conditions” (more details on its website), which include a full refund should a cruise be cancelled by the company and moving a booking free of charge to any other departure this year or 2022 more than 30 days before departure.
The cruise operator says that the safety and wellbeing of guests and crew remains its top priority and since last year it has worked successfully for the Safeguard Certification Label of its ships. This ensures the proper application of preventive sanitary measures, which have been subject to a rigorous auditing process and confirm that crew members have been thoroughly trained to implement them.
These measures will be further strengthened this year with the instruction of a new procedure: – Test and Board – with passengers needing to provide proof of vaccination.
